Chevrolet Captiva Sport Windshield Replacement Cost
The Chevrolet Captiva Sport, launched in 2011, was an intriguing entry into the compact SUV market, primarily intended as a fleet vehicle in the U.S. Derived from the Chevrolet Captiva, popular in global markets since 2006, the Captiva Sport was part of Chevrolet’s strategy to appeal to urban professionals in need of a reliable and efficient SUV. A hidden gem within the Chevy lineup, the Captiva Sport is known for its superior driving dynamics and adaptable features.
When it comes to the cost of windshield replacement for the Chevrolet Captiva Sport, several factors come into play. A standout feature impacting cost is the presence of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). These systems, often incorporating sensors or cameras mounted on the windshield, require meticulous calibration during replacement to maintain functionality, thus elevating costs. Notably, the Captiva Sport’s introduction of driver-assist features in subsequent model years heightened these considerations.
The trim level is another influencing factor, with higher trims like the LTZ often equipped with more advanced features, resulting in more complex windshield specifications and subsequent replacement costs. Early models with fewer technological enhancements might present a more straightforward, and thereby cheaper, replacement process.
The availability of aftermarket parts can also significantly affect costs. For later models, especially those with unique design elements introduced during mid-cycle refreshes, sourcing OEM parts might be necessary, leading to higher expenses. In contrast, earlier models with fewer changes have more aftermarket options available.
Model year updates, particularly those involving redesigns or new technology, also affect windshield replacement costs. For example, if a particular year introduced a new sensor layout or a structural change to the windshield, this would likely lead to increased complexity and cost for replacement.
Understanding these elements is crucial for anticipating windshield replacement costs for the Chevrolet Captiva Sport, whether dealing with early iterations or later versions with advanced features.

Chevrolet Captiva Sport Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Chevrolet Captiva Sport depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Chevrolet Captiva Sport. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Chevrolet Captiva Sport configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Chevrolet Captiva Sport vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Chevrolet Captiva Sport versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.

They showed up on time, were professional, and very honest. A few months ago, the wire in my front driver-side window popped, and I had it repaired by another mechanic—but he clearly didn’t know what he was doing because it broke again. Glass Brothers quoted me $300 to replace the regulator based on my description of the issue. When they arrived, they found the regulator was actually still good—the previous repairman just hadn’t put the window back into the clips. Instead of charging me the full $300, they adjusted the price to $125 since the $165 regulator wasn’t needed.

Had my truck window broken out Friday night and they were able to replace it Monday morning and at a much better price than other places I got quotes from. Great service and price. I hope I don’t need their service again but if I do they will be the first place I call.
