Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS Windshield Replacement Cost
The Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS is a noteworthy entry in the mid-size SUV market, first introduced in 2006 as a high-performance variant of the TrailBlazer. This vehicle was known for its robust LS2 V8 engine, borrowed from the Corvette, providing power and speed that set it apart from its peers. Although the TrailBlazer SS was only produced until 2009, it remains a beloved model among car enthusiasts for its unique combination of power and practicality. Interestingly, the model marked Chevy’s first venture into combining racing performance with an SUV, creating a niche market that has since seen growing interest.
When considering the windshield replacement cost for the Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS, several factors play a crucial role. One primary influence is the presence of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include sensors and cameras often mounted on or near the windshield. Mid-to-late 2000s models, including the TrailBlazer SS, began incorporating such technologies, making the replacement process more complex and potentially more expensive. The need for recalibration of these systems post-installation can also add to the overall cost.
In addition to ADAS, the vehicle’s trim level can affect windshield replacement costs. Higher trim levels may have additional features such as specialized glass coatings or soundproofing, influencing the price. The TrailBlazer SS, with its performance-focused design, may have some high-end features impacting the complexity and cost of windshield replacements compared to lower trim models without these enhancements.
Availability of aftermarket parts is another significant factor. The TrailBlazer SS, being an older and more specialized model, might have fewer aftermarket options available compared to more recent or regular production vehicles, often leading to reliance on OEM parts, influencing price.
Model year changes also impact the windshield replacement cost. For instance, during the TrailBlazer SS production years, even minor redesigns or updates to the vehicle structure or features could alter the specifications or fittings of windshields.
Understanding these nuances is crucial for any TrailBlazer SS owner needing windshield replacement, as each variable can considerably affect the overall expense.

Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.

They showed up on time, were professional, and very honest. A few months ago, the wire in my front driver-side window popped, and I had it repaired by another mechanic—but he clearly didn’t know what he was doing because it broke again. Glass Brothers quoted me $300 to replace the regulator based on my description of the issue. When they arrived, they found the regulator was actually still good—the previous repairman just hadn’t put the window back into the clips. Instead of charging me the full $300, they adjusted the price to $125 since the $165 regulator wasn’t needed.

Had my truck window broken out Friday night and they were able to replace it Monday morning and at a much better price than other places I got quotes from. Great service and price. I hope I don’t need their service again but if I do they will be the first place I call.
