Hyundai Elantra Windshield Replacement Cost
The Hyundai Elantra, introduced in 1990, has evolved through numerous generations to become a well-regarded compact car known for its reliability and innovation. Over the years, the Elantra has garnered awards for value and design, growing a considerable fan base around the world. Initially launched to compete in the burgeoning small car market, early models were straightforward yet solid performers, setting the stage for future advancements.
When considering the windshield replacement cost for the Hyundai Elantra, several factors come into play. A primary determinant is the model year, which influences the complexity and the types of features embedded in the windshield. For example, starting with the sixth generation introduced in 2017, major redesigns included Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. These features often require special calibration tools and expertise during windshield replacement, thereby increasing costs.
Trim levels also significantly impact the replacement price as higher trims often incorporate more technological features. For instance, a limited or sport trim usually boasts additional sensors and cameras integrated into the windshield, unlike the base model, which adds complexity and expense to the process.
Another consideration is the availability of aftermarket parts versus OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts. While aftermarket parts can be a cost-effective alternative, they may not always be compatible with the advanced tech embedded in newer models, thus steering customers towards OEM solutions.
The availability and cost of parts can also be influenced by the overall popularity of the vehicle. With the Elantra being a widely sold and serviced model, parts are generally more accessible, although specific model year changes, like those introduced in the 221 redesign, can temporarily affect supply and demand dynamics.
In summary, the price for a Hyundai Elantra windshield replacement is contingent upon several factors including the vehicle’s model year, trim level, presence of ADAS features, and part availability. Each of these aspects contributes to the overall complexity and cost of replacement, making it important for owners to consider these elements when estimating their expenses.

Hyundai Elantra Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Hyundai Elantra depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Hyundai Elantra. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Hyundai Elantra configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Hyundai Elantra vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Hyundai Elantra versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.

All in all, I'm very happy with my experience with The Auto Glass Guy. After comparing prices from other places, I feel like I got the best deal here. I had a broken driver-side window and a damaged windshield. I had just the driver-side window replaced. The technician made some very good suggestions in regard to a "bandaid solution" for the windshield until I could get it replaced. Since I have a high deductible for my comprehensive insurance, I wanted to pay out of pocket and avoid filing a claim. I gladly recommend The Auto Glass Guy to anyone who needs a new car window or windshield.

I had my windshield replaced by Glass America in August of 2020. They were timely and the appointment was convenient. There was a problem with the black caulking around windshield, however when I called to get it fixed, they were very responsive. Jade, one of the installers, was great and provided repair quickly. I would recommend them for your windshield needs. Kimberly North Carolina

Service was great, price was great. Would use again. My only recommendation would be to give the customer an idea or even a time window of arrival. I felt like I had to be at home all day because I didn't know when they would show up. When I scheduled, I was under the impression I'd get a phone call at a minimum just prior to the visit. That never happened and it was in the afternoon when they showed semi unexpectedly. Again, would use again for friendly service and pricing.
