Hyundai Santa Cruz Windshield Replacement Cost
The Hyundai Santa Cruz, introduced in 2021, is Hyundai’s innovative foray into the compact pickup truck market. This model blends the utility of a truck with the driving comfort of a crossover, appealing to urban adventurists. Initially conceptualized as a concept vehicle in 2015, the Santa Cruz quickly garnered attention for its unique design and practicality. The production version, highly anticipated for its Hyundai-first utility, stakes a place in segments usually dominated by established pickup brands. Intriguingly, Hyundai claims the Santa Cruz was crafted to attract urban millennials who seek outdoor adventures, blending functionality with aesthetics.
When considering windshield replacement costs for the Hyundai Santa Cruz, several factors come into play that can influence the overall expense. One of the key considerations is the presence of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features. ADAS, which includes technologies such as lane-keeping assist and automated emergency braking, relies on sensors and cameras often integrated into the windshield. Models equipped with these features typically have windshields with built-in sensor mounts, making replacement more technical and potentially costly. For instance, the addition of these technologies with the 2023 model year highlighted the advanced level of integration necessary, compared to earlier models.
Trim levels also contribute to the variation in windshield replacement costs. Higher trims such as the 2022 Limited variant, often include a greater array of built-in technological features, affecting the type of glass and its specifications. Complex windshields may also require recalibration of cameras and sensors, adding to the cost compared to the more basic trim levels like the base SE, where simpler designs and less tech integration might mean a straightforward replacement.
Another consideration is the availability of aftermarket parts versus original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. While OEM parts are often more expensive, they ensure compatibility and performance specific to the Hyundai Santa Cruz’s specifications. However, as the Santa Cruz is a relatively new model, the availability of aftermarket parts is still developing, which may limit options and impact pricing compared to older, more widely distributed models in Hyundai’s lineup.
Additionally, model year changes can affect pricing. With the Santa Cruz entering its second generation post its 2021 debut, any significant redesign or the introduction of new sensor systems can lead to more expensive windshields. The complexity of the installation can vary significantly with these enhancements, as can the need for specialized calibrations following a windshield replacement, all contributing to potential increases in overall replacement costs.

Hyundai Santa Cruz Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Hyundai Santa Cruz depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Hyundai Santa Cruz. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Hyundai Santa Cruz configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Hyundai Santa Cruz vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Hyundai Santa Cruz versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.

All in all, I'm very happy with my experience with The Auto Glass Guy. After comparing prices from other places, I feel like I got the best deal here. I had a broken driver-side window and a damaged windshield. I had just the driver-side window replaced. The technician made some very good suggestions in regard to a "bandaid solution" for the windshield until I could get it replaced. Since I have a high deductible for my comprehensive insurance, I wanted to pay out of pocket and avoid filing a claim. I gladly recommend The Auto Glass Guy to anyone who needs a new car window or windshield.
