Jeep Cherokee Windshield Replacement Cost
The Jeep Cherokee, introduced in 1974, quickly became a defining vehicle for Jeep with its pioneering design that transitioned from a traditional full-sized SUV to the compact SUV we recognize today. Originally intended to cater to the growing demand for sportier SUVs, the Cherokee played a pivotal role in popularizing this vehicle segment. One interesting trivia is that the second-generation Cherokee, known as the XJ model, had a unibody construction, a revolutionary approach for SUVs at the time, which enhanced its durability and performance.
When considering windshield replacement cost for the Jeep Cherokee, several factors come into play. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, such as lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking, can significantly impact the cost. Models equipped with these systems, especially those introduced after the 2014 major redesign, require calibration post-installation, influencing both the labor and the complexity involved.
Trim levels also factor into the pricing. Higher trims like the Limited and Overland may incorporate additional technologies in the windshield, such as rain-sensing wipers or acoustic layers for noise reduction. The introduction of new trim levels and technological upgrades in recent years, particularly post-2019 facelift, have continued to elevate prices due to more sophisticated integrations.
The availability of aftermarket parts is another determinant. While older Cherokees, notably those from the pre-2013 era, have a broad range of aftermarket windshields available, ensuring competitive pricing, newer models with specialized features face limited aftermarket options, often leaning towards pricier OEM parts.
Major redesigns, such as those in 2019 and the latest upgrades, have introduced changes in the windshield’s design and technology, including the addition of integrated sensors, which make replacements more expensive. It’s essential to note that vehicles equipped with modern, technologically advanced windshields will naturally incur higher replacement costs, emphasizing the importance of robust insurance coverage for newer Cherokee models.

Jeep Cherokee Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are created equal, so it makes sense that not all replacements cost the same. Depending on the vehicle and the technology built into the glass, replacement prices can vary significantly. Here’s how we break it down:
High-End Range
Some vehicles—especially newer or luxury models—are equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), like lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heads-up displays, and built-in heating elements. These features require original equipment manufacturer (OEM) glass and a complete ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the specialized parts and labor involved, these replacements fall at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern cars come with a few standard features—such as forward collision sensors or lane departure cameras—that require basic recalibration after the windshield is replaced. These windshields typically don’t require OEM glass but do involve some extra steps beyond a simple install, which puts them in the moderate price range.
Low-End Range
Older vehicles or base models often have a simpler setup: plain laminated glass without any built-in electronics or sensors. These windshields are the most straightforward to replace, and therefore, fall into the lowest price tier.

Excellent service. Communication leading up to the appointment was perfect. The service was better than I could have hoped for. He called before coming, arrived on time, did the job quickly, cleaned up the broken glass in the car, the glass that fell in to the door, and the glass on the ground, and he was done before I expected. This was a great experience. I will recommend Orange Blossom Auto Glass to everyone.

Quick service and friendly. Only reason I gave a 3 star is because I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The windshield has a logo of a Jeep from the factory at the bottom of it. I specifically asked if the replacement windshield would have that and I was told yes, that it would. It did not. So I was either lied to or the company is in-informed.
