Scion FR-S Windshield Replacement Cost
Recent Scion FR-S windshield replacement quotes on Auto Glass Estimator ranged from $247 to $340 (9 windshield quotes, September 2026). The highest quote was a 2015 Scion FR-S 2 Door Coupe at $340; the lowest was a 2013 Scion FR-S 2 Door Coupe at $247. On Scion models with Toyota Safety Sense, a forward recognition camera mounted at the top of the windshield has to be recalibrated after the glass is replaced, which adds to the bill. What changes the price for a Scion FR-S
- Toyota Safety Sense camera. Toyota requires the forward recognition camera to be calibrated whenever the windshield is removed or replaced, so plan on a calibration line item for a FR-S with a forward recognition camera mounted at the top of the windshield. Toyota made Toyota Safety Sense standard on almost every trim level in the U.S. from the 2018 model year, so a recent FR-S very likely has it.
- OEM vs. aftermarket glass. For the FR-S, Toyota warns that with non-genuine glass the black ceramic border may keep the camera from seeing through it properly. See what OEM, OEE and aftermarket glass actually cost before choosing glass for your FR-S.
- Separate calibration fee. If your FR-S has a windshield camera, the recalibration is a line of its own; this guide gives typical prices.

Scion FR-S: repair or replace?
A chip smaller than a quarter or a crack shorter than about three inches can usually be repaired — faster and far cheaper than a full replacement. Replacement is the safer choice when the damage is longer than a dollar bill, sits in the driver’s line of sight, reaches the edge of the glass (which weakens the whole windshield), or goes through both layers. A qualified shop can confirm which option your Scion FR-S qualifies for.
Does insurance cover a Scion FR-S windshield?
Whether insurance covers your Scion FR-S windshield depends on your comprehensive coverage and deductible. A few states require insurers to waive the glass deductible entirely, and some insurers waive it for small chip repairs. See our guides to states with zero deductible for comprehensive glass claims and states with glass endorsement coverage to check the rules in your state.
