Toyota Prius V Windshield Replacement Cost
The Toyota Prius V, introduced as part of the Prius family in 2011, represented a significant step forward for hybrid vehicles. Known for its spacious interior and versatile design, the Prius V aimed to blend the fuel efficiency of the traditional Prius with greater practicality. This wagon variant, particularly popular among eco-conscious families, quickly became a key player in the hybrid market. An interesting piece of trivia is that the “V” in Prius V stands for versatility, emphasizing its larger cargo space compared to the classic Prius.
When considering the windshield replacement cost for a Toyota Prius V, several factors come into play. One primary consideration is the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features. Beginning in model years like 2015, the Prius V started incorporating more sophisticated ADAS technologies such as lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control, which often require recalibration after windshield replacement. This integration can lead to increased replacement costs due to the necessity of specialized equipment and labor for proper sensor alignment.
Trim levels also significantly affect the cost of windshield replacement. Higher trims, such as the Prius V Five, come equipped with additional technology and features embedded within or around the windshield, like rain sensors and heads-up displays, which can complicate replacement efforts and raise prices. Major redesigns or upgrades in certain model years have introduced features that require more complex windshields; for example, the 215 facelift included enhancements in safety and technology, affecting the overall windshield design.
Furthermore, the availability of aftermarket parts can influence replacement costs. Generally, genuine Toyota parts are more expensive than aftermarket alternatives, but for some Prius V model years, aftermarket options may be limited, particularly if there were significant changes or redesigns.
In summary, the pricing for replacing a windshield in a Toyota Prius V can vary widely, driven by factors such as ADAS features, trim level, model year changes, and availability of parts. Understanding these factors is crucial for accurately estimating the potential costs involved.

Toyota Prius V Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Toyota Prius V depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Toyota Prius V. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Toyota Prius V configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Toyota Prius V vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Toyota Prius V versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.

Very prompt very professional — I explained as it was a holiday weekend I’d be contacting several vendors after Jalyn offered next available appt july6, only to call and text back an hour later saying a technician was on his way — Jaime did a great job and despite an apparent glass shortage, holiday weekend and discontinued model Prius V, I had my new glass done by noon. Thank you, thank you thank you.

The quote I got on line was not true. When the customer service got around to calling me the cost was an additional $50. Very poorly done and unprofessional. The service person that came to do the job was great, kept in contact with me when he was running late. Very disappointed with the online portion, but job was done well in person.
