Buick Lesabre Windshield Replacement Cost
The Buick LeSabre, a staple of American automotive history, was first introduced in 1959. Known for its durability and comfort, the LeSabre remained one of Buick’s most successful models until it was discontinued in 2005. Throughout its lifespan, the LeSabre underwent several redesigns and was a pioneer in incorporating innovative features such as the 1986 transition to a front-wheel-drive platform and enhanced safety features over the years.
When considering a windshield replacement cost for a Buick LeSabre, numerous factors play a crucial role. A key consideration is the presence of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which began to feature prominently in later model years. Elements such as rain sensors, lane departure warnings, and forward collision alerts, common in the last generation of LeSabres, can significantly increase the cost of windshield replacements due to the need for precise recalibration.
Trim levels also affect replacement costs. Higher-tier trims may come with additional electronic components and luxury features embedded around the windshield area, leading to more intricate replacement procedures. For example, models from the early 2s could have imprinted antennas or specialized coatings that demand specific replacement glass.
Additionally, the availability of aftermarket parts can impact costs. For earlier LeSabre generations, the abundance of compatible aftermarket options can lead to lower prices. However, less availability for later models or unique customizations might necessitate OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, resulting in higher costs.
Major redesign periods, such as those seen in 1992 or 2, introduced new windshield dimensions and attachment methods, impacting repair costs. Finally, labor costs associated with removing and replacing these windshields, which can vary based on local market conditions, must also be considered. By understanding these factors, LeSabre owners can better anticipate potential costs associated with windshield replacements.

Buick Lesabre Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Buick Lesabre depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Buick Lesabre. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Buick Lesabre configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Buick Lesabre vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Buick Lesabre versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.
| Year | Average Price |

This company knew how to order the exterior trim to encapsulate the new back-glass that I needed. HOWEVER, they also knew how to re-use my existing trim piece, thereby saving me the time to order and the cost of that specialty piece. Other companies couldn't even figure out what to order! GREAT JOB!!
