Chevrolet Captiva Windshield Replacement Cost
The Chevrolet Captiva, introduced in 2006, is a compact crossover SUV that gained attention for its versatility and affordability. Initially developed by GM Daewoo in South Korea, the Captiva saw various rebadged versions globally, becoming a staple in Chevrolet’s lineup around the world. An interesting fact about the Captiva is its multi-brand iterations, marketed under seven different brand names in various markets over the years.
When it comes to windshield replacement cost for the Chevrolet Captiva, several factors play a crucial role in defining the overall expenditure. One of the primary considerations is the presence of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). In models manufactured after major redesigns, particularly the 2013 and 2022 updates, the integration of sensors and cameras for features like lane departure warning and collision assist significantly raises the cost of replacement due to the necessity for precise calibration post-installation.
Trim levels further affect windshield replacement costs, as higher trims often come equipped with additional technological features. For example, trims offering automatic rain sensors or heads-up displays would require more specialized windshields, subsequently increasing the cost.
The availability of aftermarket parts can also impact the pricing. For earlier editions of the Chevrolet Captiva, particularly pre-2013 models, aftermarket parts are more abundant, which may lower costs compared to newer versions where parts availability could constrain to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, often priced higher. Each update in model years typically ushers in improved features or redesigns, which in turn can affect part manufacture and availability.
Therefore, the model year, specific trim, and the incorporation of advanced tech features vastly influence the windshield replacement cost. While the previous versions of the Chevrolet Captiva might offer more straightforward and budget-friendly repairs, newer and high-trim models demand a meticulous approach, reflecting the associated increase in replacement expenses.

Chevrolet Captiva Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Chevrolet Captiva depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Chevrolet Captiva. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Chevrolet Captiva configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Chevrolet Captiva vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Chevrolet Captiva versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.

They showed up on time, were professional, and very honest. A few months ago, the wire in my front driver-side window popped, and I had it repaired by another mechanic—but he clearly didn’t know what he was doing because it broke again. Glass Brothers quoted me $300 to replace the regulator based on my description of the issue. When they arrived, they found the regulator was actually still good—the previous repairman just hadn’t put the window back into the clips. Instead of charging me the full $300, they adjusted the price to $125 since the $165 regulator wasn’t needed.

Had my truck window broken out Friday night and they were able to replace it Monday morning and at a much better price than other places I got quotes from. Great service and price. I hope I don’t need their service again but if I do they will be the first place I call.
