Chevrolet Cheyenne Windshield Replacement Cost
The Chevrolet Cheyenne is a name that holds a notable position in the legacy of American trucks. Originally introduced in 1971 as a premium trim for the Chevy C/K series, the Cheyenne badge was synonymous with superior comfort and enhanced features, appealing to those seeking a rugged yet refined driving experience. An interesting tidbit: the Cheyenne was not just a nod to luxury, but also part of Chevrolet’s strategy to compete with Ford’s upscale Ranger models. Over the decades, the Cheyenne has seen various incarnations, including concepts that teased enthusiasts with a modern revival.
When it comes to windshield replacement costs for the Chevrolet Cheyenne, several factors come into play. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) significantly influence the price. Modern Cheyenne models, particularly those incorporating features such as lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control, require windshields integrated with sensor technology. This necessitates precise calibration, often leading to increased replacement costs.
The trim level also impacts the cost. Premium trims, historically known under the Cheyenne name, tend to feature more complex integrations and higher quality materials, which can drive up labor and part costs. Additionally, availability of aftermarket parts is a considerable factor. For older Cheyenne models, aftermarket windshields are more prevalent, potentially lowering costs. However, newer models or those with specialized features might rely on original equipment manufacturers (OEM), elevating expenses.
Model year changes, such as the major redesigns in the truck line in the late 1990s and periodic updates in sensor technology, have continuously impacted windshield design and compatibility. As vehicles evolved, so did the complexity of the windshields and associated costs. Ultimately, when considering “windshield replacement cost,” factors such as ADAS technology, trim levels, availability of aftermarket options, and year-specific redesigns are vital in determining the overall expense.

Chevrolet Cheyenne Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Chevrolet Cheyenne depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Chevrolet Cheyenne. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Chevrolet Cheyenne configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Chevrolet Cheyenne vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Chevrolet Cheyenne versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.

They showed up on time, were professional, and very honest. A few months ago, the wire in my front driver-side window popped, and I had it repaired by another mechanic—but he clearly didn’t know what he was doing because it broke again. Glass Brothers quoted me $300 to replace the regulator based on my description of the issue. When they arrived, they found the regulator was actually still good—the previous repairman just hadn’t put the window back into the clips. Instead of charging me the full $300, they adjusted the price to $125 since the $165 regulator wasn’t needed.

Had my truck window broken out Friday night and they were able to replace it Monday morning and at a much better price than other places I got quotes from. Great service and price. I hope I don’t need their service again but if I do they will be the first place I call.
