Chevrolet UPS P700 Windshield Replacement Cost
The Chevrolet UPS P700 is a unique commercial vehicle that carved a niche in the delivery industry. Developed as a partnership between Chevrolet and United Parcel Service (UPS), the P700 was introduced in the late 1980s. Known for its robust design and practicality, the P700 became a staple for delivery drivers. One interesting trivia about this model is its role in enhancing logistics efficiency, setting the standard for future collaboration between auto manufacturers and delivery services.
When it comes to “windshield replacement cost,” several factors can significantly influence the pricing. Firstly, the inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in newer model years of the Chevrolet UPS P700 can substantially increase the cost of windshield replacements. ADAS features like lane departure warnings and automatic braking systems require precise calibration after a windshield replacement, thereby raising the overall expense.
The trim level of the P700 also plays a pivotal role in determining the windshield replacement cost. Higher trims often come with more sophisticated sensors and technology that necessitate complex replacements and recalibrations.
Another crucial factor is the availability of aftermarket parts. For older model years that did not experience major redesigns, aftermarket options could be readily available, potentially lowering the cost. However, significant redesigns or the addition of new safety features in later models can make original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts the only viable option, resulting in higher expenses.
Finally, model year modifications impact pricing; major redesigns often introduce new style elements and technology, thus affecting the windshield costs. Therefore, the year and specific features of your Chevrolet UPS P700 are paramount in determining the exact expense for a windshield replacement.

Chevrolet UPS P700 Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Chevrolet UPS P700 depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Chevrolet UPS P700. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Chevrolet UPS P700 configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Chevrolet UPS P700 vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Chevrolet UPS P700 versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.

They showed up on time, were professional, and very honest. A few months ago, the wire in my front driver-side window popped, and I had it repaired by another mechanic—but he clearly didn’t know what he was doing because it broke again. Glass Brothers quoted me $300 to replace the regulator based on my description of the issue. When they arrived, they found the regulator was actually still good—the previous repairman just hadn’t put the window back into the clips. Instead of charging me the full $300, they adjusted the price to $125 since the $165 regulator wasn’t needed.

Had my truck window broken out Friday night and they were able to replace it Monday morning and at a much better price than other places I got quotes from. Great service and price. I hope I don’t need their service again but if I do they will be the first place I call.
