Chevrolet Tracker Windshield Replacement Cost
The Chevrolet Tracker, originally introduced in the late 1980s as a rebadged version of the Suzuki Vitara, made its mark in the compact SUV segment with its rugged design and off-road capability. Over the years, the Tracker evolved through various iterations and an interesting nameplate return in 2020, capturing modern styling and advanced technology. Perhaps surprisingly, the Tracker is part of a century-old partnership between Chevrolet and Japanese automaker Suzuki, highlighting a global exchange of automotive innovation.
When considering windshield replacement costs for the Chevrolet Tracker, multiple factors come into play. One of the most significant influences is the presence of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). Modern Trackers, especially those post-2020 models, often come equipped with features like lane departure warnings, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. These ADAS features utilize sensors strategically placed around the vehicle, including on the windshield. Therefore, if the windshield needs replacing, recalibration of these sensors is essential, significantly impacting the replacement cost.
Trim levels also play a crucial role in determining windshield replacement expenses. Higher trims, such as the Premier or LT models in recent generations, often include specialized glass with features like acoustic dampening properties or thermal regulation, leading to higher costs compared to base models.
The availability of aftermarket parts can further influence pricing. Older or more standard versions of the Tracker might have a wider availability of third-party windshields, which can reduce costs. However, more recent redesigns and special versions could mandate the use of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, raising the expense. Notably, significant overhauls in design, like those seen in 24 with the second-generation unveil and the 22 relaunch, often see a temporary spike in prices due to scarcity of compatible parts until aftermarket suppliers catch up.
In conclusion, various elements such as ADAS recalibration needs, trim-specific features, and the availability of aftermarket parts all play vital roles in determining the cost of windshield replacement for the Chevrolet Tracker. Understanding these factors can provide better insight into potential expenses associated with this essential vehicle repair.

Chevrolet Tracker Average Windshield Replacement Cost By Year
Not all windshields are built—or priced—the same. The cost to replace the glass on a Chevrolet Tracker depends on its year, trim level, and the amount of technology integrated into the windshield itself. Our average pricing reflects real-world replacement data across thousands of vehicles, then adjusts for the specific features found on your Chevrolet Tracker. Here’s how the range breaks down:
High-End Range
Some Chevrolet Tracker configurations—especially newer or premium trims—come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping cameras, rain sensors, heated glass, or heads-up displays.
These require OEM-grade glass and a full ADAS recalibration after installation. Because of the precision equipment and labor involved, these versions land at the top end of the price range.
Mid-Range
Many modern Chevrolet Tracker vehicles include a few key sensors, like forward-collision or lane-departure cameras, but don’t need OEM glass. These jobs involve some recalibration and additional setup beyond a simple install, which places them in the middle of the pricing spectrum.
Low-End Range
Base trims or older Chevrolet Tracker versions usually feature plain laminated glass with no built-in electronics. These are the most straightforward to replace, requiring no recalibration or specialty parts, and therefore fall in the lowest cost tier.
| Year | Average Price |
|---|---|
| 1998 | $307.55 |
| 1999 | $290.25 |
| 2003 | $238.55 |

They showed up on time, were professional, and very honest. A few months ago, the wire in my front driver-side window popped, and I had it repaired by another mechanic—but he clearly didn’t know what he was doing because it broke again. Glass Brothers quoted me $300 to replace the regulator based on my description of the issue. When they arrived, they found the regulator was actually still good—the previous repairman just hadn’t put the window back into the clips. Instead of charging me the full $300, they adjusted the price to $125 since the $165 regulator wasn’t needed.

Had my truck window broken out Friday night and they were able to replace it Monday morning and at a much better price than other places I got quotes from. Great service and price. I hope I don’t need their service again but if I do they will be the first place I call.
