Ford F Series F350: repair or replace?
Auto Glass Estimator’s latest Ford F350 windshield quotes ran $254–$442 across 10 windshield quotes (September 2026). The highest quote was a 2020 Ford F Series F350 4 Door Crew Cab at $442; the lowest was a 1989 Ford F Series F350 2 Door Standard Cab at $254. Newer Fords carry Ford Co-Pilot360; its camera sits in the windshield and needs recalibration after replacement, so they price higher. Updated September 2026.
What changes the price for a Ford F350
- Driver-assist camera. Ford’s position statement says the camera must be calibrated whenever the windshield is replaced; on a F350 that means the Ford Co-Pilot360 camera is reset after the new glass is bonded in.
- OEM vs. aftermarket glass. For the F350, Ford says unapproved windshields can distort the camera’s view and cause system failure or unintended braking. See what OEM, OEE and aftermarket glass actually cost before choosing glass for your F350.
- Body style. Different body styles use different glass: in the recent quotes, 4 Door Crew Cab versions were quoted $270–$442 and 2 Door Standard Cab versions $254–$322.
- Calibration cost. On a F350 with a camera, recalibration is billed separately from the glass; see what ADAS recalibration really costs.

Ford F Series F350: repair or replace?
A chip smaller than a quarter or a crack shorter than about three inches can usually be repaired — faster and far cheaper than a full replacement. Replacement is the safer choice when the damage is longer than a dollar bill, sits in the driver’s line of sight, reaches the edge of the glass (which weakens the whole windshield), or goes through both layers. A qualified shop can confirm which option your Ford F Series F350 qualifies for.
Does insurance cover a Ford F Series F350 windshield?
Whether insurance covers your Ford F Series F350 windshield depends on your comprehensive coverage and deductible. A few states require insurers to waive the glass deductible entirely, and some insurers waive it for small chip repairs. See our guides to states with zero deductible for comprehensive glass claims and states with glass endorsement coverage to check the rules in your state.
